Jolie Rocke, Soprano
A Texas Touring Roster Artist since 2020, the native New Yorker and renowned soprano, Jolie Rocke, shares the gift of song worldwide. She has performed as a featured soloist and as a clinician across the USA, Europe, and Far North Queensland, Australia. Hartford Courant critic Owen McNally praised her versatility, noting, “…a gifted, versatile vocalist who’s as much at home soaring on opera arias and celestial hymns as she is getting down with funky blues and earthy jazz.” Her recordings, Rock of Ages: Hymns for the Soul, Jolie Rocke Brown in Concert, and E’en So Lord Jesus Quickly Come are available through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other media outlets.Queensland Australia.

Rocke Vocal Studio
Rocke earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Connecticut, a master’s degree in early childhood education from Loyola College in Baltimore, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School. She currently serves as Director of Choral Studies and Lecturer of Music at Prairie View A&M University and has taught at Texas Southern University, San Jacinto College, Manchester Community College, and the University of Connecticut. Her scholarly work focuses on the advancement of HBCU arts of various disciplines, the achievements of HBCU musicians and multi-disciplinary artists, and community arts programming.
Entrepreneur
As Executive Artistic Director of Driven Theater Company, she founded HBCU ArtsTM, a program dedicated to entrepreneurial development while showcasing and celebrating students, faculty, and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
