Jolie's mother discovered her singing in the corner of the living room when she was 3 years old. Perplexed, she quickly realized Jolie was marveling at the sound of her own voice bouncing off the walls. For more than 20 years, audiences have enjoyed hearing Jolie's voice reverberating through venues in the US, Europe, and Far North Queensland Australia .
A passion for sharing the gift of song initially lead Jolie to teach. After graduating from college, she taught music in elementary, middle, high school and college. While her singing career soars, her dedication to training and providing performing opportunities for emerging artists is unwavering. Several of her students and mentees are educators and professional musicians with international careers.
New visions evolved through Jolie's career experiences and love of the arts, education, community, and helping others. She co-founded Equity Arts Enterprises LLC in 2020 www.equityartsenterprises.com. In 2023, Dr. Rocke became Co-Artistic Director for Driven Theater Company 501c3 www.driventheater.org and founded HBCU Arts™ www.hbcu-arts.org .
